Very happy with my purchase of the Panasonic Lumix FZ200. I was looking for a bridge type camera with great low light specs. Sick of changing lenses on my dslr all the time, so I went to a Fuji HS50EXR. Prepared to compromise ultimate picture quality for one-lens convenience. Still not happy. Did lots of research, and decided that the Leica V-Lux 4 had the specs I was after. Then found out that the Lumix is the same camera for a little over half the money.
I nearly didn't buy it, as I really like manual zoom, and the FZ200 lacks this feature. So glad I bit the bullet.
Great low light quality, due mainly to that beautiful 24X optical zoom Leica Lens, which stay open to 2.8 right through the zoom range. Very fast and accurate auto focus, but you can also manual focus.
As I upload videos to FB, I use the lesser VGA setting for convenience, but the full HD vids are awesome.
Bought a Lumix DMW-MS1 top mount mic to go with this camera, and it works a treat, though the built in stereo mics are at least on a par with other similar cameras.
Would I recommend this camera to a friend? I have already recommended it to several of my friends, for its quality, versatility, and ease of use.
